Hudson Correctional Facility

Hudson Correctional Facility, located in Hudson, New York, has undergone significant transformations since its inception. Originally established in 1877 as the House of Refuge for Women, it was the first reformatory for women in New York and a pioneering institution for gender-specific penal practices in the United States. The facility was designed to rehabilitate young women through a system of indeterminate sentences, focusing on reform rather than punishment.

In 1904, the institution evolved into the New York State Training School for Girls, accommodating incorrigible girls aged 12 to 15. • Saturday Visitation: For individuals with a DIN ending in an even number.
• Sunday Visitation: For individuals with a DIN ending in an odd number.
• Holiday Visitation:Open to all incarcerated individuals.

  • Odd-numbered DINs: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
