South Boise Women’s Correctional Center

The South Boise Women’s Correctional Center (SBWCC) is a key facility within the Idaho Department of Corrections, serving as both a treatment and transition center for female residents. Located in Kuna, Idaho, the SBWCC opened its doors in 1998 and has since played a vital role in the state’s corrections system. Designed specifically to focus on rehabilitation, it can accommodate up to 306 inmates in two housing units.

For family and friends, SBWCC allows visitation on Fridays and Saturdays. The schedule is divided as follows:

• 8 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. (Unit 2)
• 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. (Unit 1)
• 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. (Unit 2)
• 3:30 p.m. – 5 p.m. (Unit 1)

All visits must be pre-approved and scheduled online.
