Clayton Work Camp

Clayton Work Camp, a minimum-security facility for adult males, is located in Adams County, Illinois. Established in 1993, it operates as a satellite facility of the Western Illinois Correctional Center, situated just 11 miles away in Mount Sterling. The camp is designed to house up to 150 inmates, though its current population is significantly lower, with only 42 individuals as of July 2025.
